So I have 141 views from Etsy search here on a Labor day sunday.  And 1071 total views.  Not bad, I guess.

Made a sale of 2 items.  Ok, I guess. Not nearly where I should be after so long and so much donated.

Ben & Jerry's were millionaires after 4 years of donating only 7%.  I've been at this more than 8 1/2.  And have really had to work at it to get new items to sell.

Low Search Views, High Total Views at 4:30pm on a holiday sunday

I have only 107 views from Etsy search at 4:27pm on a Labor day weekend sunday, but 939 total views.

And a decent sale of a book and Lenox vase.

Only 29 google views.

It is making me wonder how my total views have gone up the second half of this month when they were low all summer??? Even as my search views stayed pretty much the same.  More people are shopping??

73 Google Views Yesterday! The Highest of the YEAR?

Wow.  73 from Google is the highest since I don't know when.  I believe it is the most I have had from Google ALL YEAR.  Since some time last year?

I have not reached 100 from Google since LAST YEAR??  And I think 100 views from Google is the exact number I had and I believe it was last fall or early winter. No later than november, after their Panda updates.

BUT...I did gain all the indirect Google views????  Many more than I had lost??  Because of Google image searches? or Etsy product listings?

217 Views Yesterday; 73 Google Views!! Almost 1,500 Total Views

Wow. I reached 73 direct views from Google!  The first time I have been above 70 ALL YEAR?????  I might have reached 71 at some point.

But that is one of the highest days from Google since LAST YEAR. Wow.

I finished with 217 views from Etsy search.  And 12 of them were from the faux fur coat.  If not for that, and the coffee table, I'd have been below 200 again.

It was a very active day in my shop overall with 1,469 total views.  But only 2 sales for $52. What the heck.

So it is a high view morning.  Total views have come back?

But search views are still around 200 each day, either above or below.

I did finish with 1,553 total views.

But only 1 small tea cup sale.  Not good.

Low Search Views; High Total Views

Here at 9:47pm I have only 167 views from Etsy search...AND....I checked and saw that the faux fur coat has 18 views from Etsy search!

So if not for the fur coat, my views would be BAD today.

But I do have more than 1,300 total views for the day.  I am sure that is probably just tea cup people.

It was an ok day today.  Got 6 orders packed and shipped.  Some pics taken.  Some new items listed.

Take this weekend off.  Just SLEEP.

I have 1,000 total views at 2:56pm.  Glad to see that, BUT it doesn't mean anything.  Only 1 small tea cup sale today and 1 small tea cup sale yesterday.

So it has been a fairly productive day.  I got pics taken.  I am getting new items listed.

I have 70 views from Etsy search here at 12 noon.  Not good.  But that is the New Normal.

I also have 783 total views.  Nice to see that.  No sales though.

My shop is very active this morning.  Even though I have only 53 views from Etsy search at 9:33 am, I still have 650 total views, with 2 hours of listing views in the 100's.

I have been getting some pics taken, which I think are turning out good and usable.

Lately I have been having 20 or so views by 2am and reaching 200 views from Etsy search.

I finished yesterday with 226 views from Etsy search and 1,496 total views.  51 from Google and 101 "Other".

Only 1 tea cup sale though. Not good.

I have 1,280 total views at 7:02 pm.  And that came about because of 320 listing views in the 6 o'clock hour.

Someone was probably looking at my tea cups.

And I have 177 views from Etsy search.  Pretty good.  Well, pretty good for this summer, that is.

The last time I checked before 12 noon was at 11:45am and I had 91 views from Etsy search.

And here at 12:24pm I have 102 views from Etsy search!  Glad to see that.

It's the earliest I've reached 100 in a while.  There was probably one other time when I reached 100 views from Etsy search this early or a little later.

I finished yesterday with only 190 views from Etsy search.  Only 993 total views.

I did have 3 orders. Including a very nice, large Royal Doulton figurine to the Middle East.

I have orders to pack tomorrow!  And pics to take!  And organizing!

I finished yesterday with 204 views from Etsy search and only 852 total views.  Only 39 from Google.

2 orders.  For tea cups, of course.

So I guess I will just have to deal with whatever happens with my shop. Views have dropped to 2012 levels and stayed there.

I don't need to buy any more.  I am FULL.  And I don't sell much. Just stick it out.

Only 35 orders so far this month after 25 days..

The lowest I've had in the past 2 1/2 years is when I had 34 orders in feb of 2012.

It makes me discouraged from adding new items.  If they aren't getting views and I am not selling much, it is not worth it to list things.

Although I have sold some of my newer listings recently.

And only 26 direct Google views. 74 "Other" views, indirect Google views?

I have lost a lot of views from Google and Bing, and The Find.  They won't be coming back.

Ya know, I have more than 1,100 listings and today I am averaging only 27-45 views her hour!

So having so many listings and they are not getting seen.

Also, once people get to my shop they are not browsing.

31 Views this Morning; Not Much Growth this Year?

So I have 31 views from Etsy search here at 6:19am.  A drop from yesterday.  It will probably be ANOTHER day below 200.

This will also be my lowest revenue month in 2 YEARS.  And drops my pace for the year down to where, if I can make this much in sales each month, a big if, I will only have grown slightly over last year.

I was on pace to grow by 40%, but if I keep up this month's pace, I will have only grown a couple thousand dollars over last year.

I haven't replaced all the nice things I've sold this year and the past couple years. The Limoges rose plate painted by the artist who has work in the Louvre, for example. Wow. No way I can replace that.  Especially at the price I got it.

So, I guess I will try to stick it out for the year and see what happens.  And just accept and deal with it....and be mad, of course.

1 order for 2 tea cups.

Still kind of disappointing.

I am really not selling that much.  All I am selling is a tea cup a day, pretty much.  When I have mroe than 1,100 listing and have tithed for YEARS and seeded so much more.

Still disappointingly low, but this is still a relatively good, early time that I have reached that many.

It is a sunday.  Which has been the highest view day of the week for months now.  Followed by monday.

So I have 88 views from Etsy search at 12:04pm and 521 total views.

19 Google views.

1 order for 2 tea cups.

I have A LOT of things to do today.  A lot of organzing at least.

185 Views Yesterday, a Saturday! More than 1,200 Total Views

So I finished yesterday with only 185 views from Etsy search.  And it was a saturday.  Not good.  2 small tea cup sales, too.

I did also finish with 1,231 total views.  Which was decent.

Only 45 direct Google views.  119 "Other" views.

Still discouraging and disappointing.  But I have to keep going. And just accept whatever sales I make. I think my shop will continue to go down with views, orders and revenue.

I have to organize from my big haul today.

Comparing Aug '13 to Aug '14

So I just checked my stats to compare aug 1-22, 2013 with aug 1-22, 2014 and it was discouraging.

30 LESS orders.
$1,770 LESS revenue
700 LESS Google views (when Google views had first dropped last august and now they are even lower)
2,000 LESS ETSY SEARCH VIEWS!  WOW!  That makes me mad.  And discouraged.

The future does not look good for my shop.

Views are on a downward trend.
And that will hurt orders and revenue.

Oh well.

I finished yesterday with 213 views from Etsy search, 2 sales and 1,094 total views.

Only 36 from Google.

Views are gradually improving.  Revenue will be HALF of last august.

I finished yesterday with 225 views from Etsy search.  Only 844 total views.  39 Google Views.

And only 1 tiny sale.  I can't believe it.

This is a BAD month for my shop.

Views are slightly better.  Sales and revenue are BAD.  The worst in 2 years!

So my shop has continued its downward trend.  It has takena big drop down this month.

After nearly 9 years of selling and tithing and seeding.

So it is time to stop working on my shop so much.  Stop listing new things.  Don't work on the shop projects I wanted to work on and list. Stop seeding.  Tithe ONLY.

And go back to work.

Just organize what I have.  I have way more than enough stuff. Not as valuable stuff as I have had, but more than enough stuff listed and stuff to list.  I quit. That's enough.

So I have only 92 views from Etsy search at 3:06pm.

I need at least 10 hours for 100 search views.  So it is looking like today will be below 200.  Again.

I do owe the search views I have been getting to my faux fur coat.  It is my most searched item every day.  With yesterday receiving 19 Etsy search views.  It is getting to be that time of year and people will be looking for a vintage faux fur.  Mine needs cleaned. So I am guessing it might not sell.

249 Search Views Yesterday, a Tuesday! More than 1,000 Total Views!

I didn't expect to be "so high" with search views.  I finished with 249 views from Etsy search and 1,015 total views.

I had only 47 views or so from Etsy search about 7 am so I didn't expect to even reach 200.

And 1 order. A tea cup, of course.

That is an unusually high amount of views for a tuesday.  Sunday and monday have been the high views days most weeks for the past month or so.

I have orders to pack tomorrow!  Go to the thrift store to look for the golf things???

I have A LOT to do!  So much organizing.  So many pics to take!  So many other shop projects to complete.in the next month or so!

I have 1,291 total views.  Even though I set a record by noon I still might not have more views than yesterday.  I think I had more than 600 at noon yesterday. And still reach nearly 1,600.

I did not get any orders packed today.  I could not find the saucer.  I will work on them tomorrow and wed.

So even after having 295 listing views in the 11 o'clock hour, now I am having 121 listing views in the noon hour. And I had 103 views in the 1am hour.

Drop in Search Views, but High Total Views This Morning

So I was hoping for high search views to continue, but, of course they dropped.  Only 37 views from Etsy search at 7:46am.

So today will probably be below 200.  Again.

But 341 Total views.  And a tea cup sale.

I remember when I would average about 225 total views per day.  And about 325 total views would be a high view day.

I have orders to pack.

I am not going to go for the prints today.  I am disappointed that I didn't think to buy them on saturday. :(

I finished yesterday with 253 views from Etsy search, 1,556 total views and 1 order for 2 tea cups.

And to get so many total views was very unusual.  I had a few high view hours and a good number of views for other hours.

Only the one order that has been in the work for days.  So really no sale. And such a small one, big deal.

Here right after midnight I already have 5 views from Google.  That is easliy the most I have noticed ina  while.  I have waken up at 7 am to only 9 or so.

And, I guess, since it is a sunday, 11 views from Etsy search at this time is "normal".

But no sales.

No shop things today.  NONE.

Just laundry, organizing, sleeping and eating and watching tv.  WASTE IT.

So I finished yesterday with only 217 views from Etsy search.  I got over 200 mostly because of the faux fur coat and the coffee table.

I also have 1,258 total views.  Easily the highest total view of the month. And one of the highest view month in the past few months.

After 16 full days I have only 14,000+ total views.
That is less than 1,000/day.

And orders and revenue are down SIGNIFICANTLY compared to the same time period last august.

Not good.

I wasted more than $150 today on vintage items.  I won't list any of them or take any pics.

I will work less on my shop. It's not worth it.

And go back to tithing only.  Don't be a fool and give away so much of my cash.  I am almost broke.

So it turned out to be an ok day sale-wise.  I had 3 orders.  One order was a decent tea cup order.  Tomorrow will be a busy day of packing.

BUT....I've been spending money EVERY DAY. Not Good.

A year of tithing and seeding for less revenue, thousands less views, especially for the past 2 1/2-4 moonths, and less orders.  Not good.

The New Normal of etsy search views at 12 noon with only 86.

But 24 Google views.  That is the most this year? At least since april? One of the highest view days since last summer, that's for sure. My previous best was 21 or 22.

It has been a high view morning so far, mostly because of a high view 11 o'clock hour.  I have 449 total views at 12 noon.

No sales.  That is 4 out of the past 8 days with no sales.

No use adding to my shop.  If people don't buy and views are down.  If things don't sell and people don't even see them, no use adding   No use spending HOURS every day for NOTHING or one sale or very little.

Oh well.

I was glad in a way to not make a sale today so I could just take pics and do other things.  The low views still bug me.  For the first 3 months of the year I'd easily be in the 200's and even close to 300 now.

So I have 78 views from Etsy search at 12 noon.  At least I reached the New Normal. Could have been a little better, but Etsy was off-line for a few minutes.

I finished yesterday with 225 views from Etsy search. And 1,076 total views. 4 orders.

Today is starting off with only 41 views from Etsy search at 6:06am.

Man, I am making sales.  And I have made alot of sales and I really have to work to replace everything.  I have sold some of my best things and I really have only nice tea cups left. I really don't have any nice jewelry. My art is too expensive to ship. Not sure how I am going to replace all the things I've sold this year and the past 2 years or so.

It is good to see 177 views from Etsy search at 7pm.  So

Made a good international sale. And 3 others.

So I was below 200 on sat, slightly above 200 on sunday, below 200 on monday, above 200 on tues
and will be above 200 on wed.

I guess that is  a good sign that not just the weekends are the high view days?
But it is still disappointing that I have to look forward to just making it above 200 views from Etsy search. After being above it and in the 300's and 400's, and not below 200 for 2 YEARS.

Part of the high Etsy search views is 8 search views from "animal planter" that got my Lefton horse head planter views.  Well it is one of the sales this morning.  So views may drop off some today and be less tomorrow morning.

61 Views Before 7am

I have 61 views from Etsy search at 6:53am.  This is easily the highest since June. Maybe even one of the highest since april.  I did have 2 days of 100 views from Etsy search at noon.  I think today I should be about 85.  Should reach 200 for the day.

No sales though.  Into my 4th day, too.

211 Views Yesterday; No Sales for 3rd Consecutive Day

So I finished yesterday, a tuesday, with 211 views from Etsy search.  I really owe that to one of my newest listings, my 1960's wood coffe table with glass top.  That got 9 views from Etsy search.

If it werent for that, and for my faux fur coat, my etsy search views would have been much below 200 AGAIN.

No sales yesterday either.  That is 4 of the past 7 days with zero sales. Not good. I want to work on my shop tomorrow, but I shouldn't. And just let my shop go. For a number of reasons.

So I will go back to tithing only.

To have been selling for 8 1/2 Years and tithign the entire time and have my views drop so dramatically and not make a sale for 3 day snow, it is just not worth it to give the cash away.  When others never tithe and are way more succesful than I am.

Only 176 Views Yesterday! Low Views This Morning! 2 Days w/out a Sale

Wow.

I fnished yesterday with only 176 views from Etsy search. Only 879 total views.

And here at 6am only 36 views from Etsy search.

With no sale in 2 days. After 8 1/2 years of selling.

Etsy messed up my shop.  With search views this summer in the 2011 range!
When I had only 200-400 listings compared to the more than 1,100 I have had this summer.

This is the 3rd month of such terribly low views and 5 months of a big drop in views.  

Views are not coming back.

Etsy hurt my shop.

My shop will not continue to grow.

I won't reach the pace I set for the first 6 months.  Probably have only half the revenue I made the first 6 months, if I can stay open.  And then next year, 2015, will be significantly less revenue than this year.

I will not be able to spend next year like I did this year, if I am even open.

Just gotta deal with it.  I am too far in now. Too much put into this. Too much to lose.

No Motivation to Work no my Shop

I have no motivation to work on my shop, to take pics, to list new things, to renew, because my etsy search views are still so low, no sales. After the years of tithing and seeding.  I don't sell much.

And with more very significant changes coming, including the side categories being made a drop-down box, I feel my shop will be hurt even MORE.

Add to that more competition each day, meaning lower search views, and my near term future and long term future on Etsy is not looking good.

I will not be growing every year on there. It will be hard to grow. I have to spend all my cash to grow. I have to keep replacing my tea cups.

Oh well. Just deal with it one day at a time.  And make decisions on how bad things get.

Here right after 12 noon at 12:07pm I have only 63 views from Etsy search.  It will be ANOTHER day below 200.

219 Views Yesterday; Low Views This Morning

I finished yesterday with 219 views from Etsy search.  It was a sunday. And less than 1,000 total views.

This morning it is showing that I will be below 200 views from Etsy search AGAIN.  Only 35 views from Etsy search at 8am.

This is discouraging and disappointing.  My shop has been hurt long term by Etsy.

I will stop adding to my shop and stop working on it.  And start focusing on work again.

I had a pretty good run of about 2 years.

With more CHANGES TO COME I feel my shop will be hurt even more.

Oh well.

No more trying to grow a business for me.

163 Views at 7 pm

So I have 163 views from Etsy search at 7pm.  I made the 2 sales right after midnight.  Otherwise it has been the new New Normal sunday.  I should reach 200 though.  That is all I hope for now. To reach 200 search views.  So many days below and near 200.  Something has happened.

Comparing May thru July Stats in my Vintage Etsy shop

So the drop in Etsy search views started in April. And june was record low drops.  I had so many days in june below 200 views from etsy search.  A record number.  I went years without going below 200 and then in june and july I was below 200 more than 10 times!

So here are the numbers for may thru july of 2014 compared to 2013:

Wow.  So I had more orders on 7,100 LESS views from Etsy search!!

That means my shop could have done SO MUCH BETTER.

My Google views for 2014 also count the hits from from my Google Adwords ads.  Those are not all direct Google views.

Other views.  So I GAINED thousands of Google views? Indirect Google views?

I got my Bing views back??

The Find views. WOW.  I've lost so many in the past year.

So even with my orders and revenue slightly higher than last year it is still discouraging.  I feel my shop has taken a big step back.  That my shop has been hurt by Etsy changes.  WITH MORE CHANGES TO COME.

If Etsy hadn't changed the listing page format, and Google not made their search changes, My vintage Etsy shop would be doing SO MUCH BETTER.

The future does not look good for my shop, I believe.  Because of Etsy changes and more competition.

I believe my search views will continue to go down.

Just have to roll with it.

43 Views after 7am

So only 43 views from Etsy search at 7:18.

Views are not coming back.

This is the new New Normal.

Something happened.  Etsy did something.

There tests.  The 3 rows of search results instead of 4.  Something.

Only 195 Views Yesterday, A Saturday!

I finished yesterday with only 195 views from Etsy search. And 918 total views.  3 small orders.

Darn.  I remember the first 3 months of last year when I was averaging more than 1,000 views per day.

Last march I had more than 36,000 views!

I've lost so many views.  From Google, The Find and Bing.  Not to mention all the lost Etsy search views!!

For the 5 weeks from june 1st to the middle of july I had nearly 5,000 LESS Etsy Search views compared to the same time last year!!!  WOW.

Oh well. Nothing I can do about that.

Wow. 8 Years of Selling and 3 1/2 years of My VIntage Shop

And 8 years of tithing and seeding and I have barely been selling anything.  Just cheap stuff.  I sold a $12 book today. ZERO sales yesterday. With my shop getting worse.  With my views having DROPPED and will get WORSE once the new ridiculous changes take affect.

OH well.

And only 46 views from Etsy search here at 8:14am on a saturday.

That's it!  No more listing new things.  No more working on my shop.

With even BIGGER changes coming, my shop will get worse.

Time to pack it up. Focus on getting laboring work again.  And only write to say negative prayers.

Wow.  Even lower views today!!  After finishing with only 187 views from Etsy search yesterday.

This makes me mad.  I wish I knew what happened.  I believe it is something Etsy has done.

To go YEARS without going below 200 and then to be below 200 SO MANY times in the past 2 months makes me mad and tells me it is Etsy.  Not me.
