More than 1,700 FEWER Search Views for the Past 31 Days

And I compared stats for the past 31 days and comparing them to the previous 31 days I have more than 1,700 FEWER views from Etsy search!!  And 13 fewer orders. But more revenue.

My 1 big tea cup orders saved me.

Disappointing stats. My shop is on a downward trend still.  With the Slooower summer months to come.

Wow.

I just checked my "Dashboard" for the past 30 days and compared to the previous 30 days I have more than 5,700 FEWER total views!! Wow.

AND 1,381 FEWER favorites!!  Wow.

Something happened to my shop this month. Etsy did something to my shop this month!!

200 Views at 8pm

So I have 202 views from etsy search at 8:04pm.

I worked today and found some nice teacups when I got home.  A productive day.

Time for dinner. And then tv.

Only 189 Views at 7pm

Well, the day started off very good with 3 sales.  But search views are still down.

Here at 7pm I have only 189 views from etsy search with 950 total views.

I have bought some nice tea cups today though.

Time to pack some orders then go out for dinner.

Only 231 Views Yesterday

So it is disappointing that my search views have dropped and have stayed down. It is possible they will stay low because of the new categories. Or some change to search.

I finished the monday with only 231 views from Etsy search and nearly 1,400 total views.

Did have 3 orders for ok revenue. So that's not too bad.

Time to go to work.

85 Views at Noon

So for the way things have been, 85 views from Etsy search at 12 noon is not bad. Not too bad. I did make 3 sales, too. So it has been an ok morning.  And I got some orders packed and I am ready to make my first trip to the post office.

Only 61 Views at 9:30am

So I have only 61 views from Etsy search here at 9:30am.  My search views have been hurt by something. And they might not come back.

Etsy changes are supposed to help us, well, at least they probably  help Etsy overall. But they have hurt my shop.

Only 281 Views Yesterday

So it was a sunday and I still did not reach 300 views from Etsy search. I finished with 281 and more than 1,700 total views.

But no sales.  Not good.

And Google views were only in the mid 30's.  That is still disappointing.

All of Etsy's Changes have HURT my Shop

Etsy has changed the categories and search to help shops and them, but my shop has been significantly hurt by the changes.  By the category change and by something they have done to search.

My shop had a big drop in aug 2013 and another one last june. Not a third one here starting mid-end of february.

I have too m uch invested. I have to deal with whatve happens. I'd have to stay until I am not making barely any money. Have to suffer with whatever changes they make.

And tithe only.

Only 84 Views after 12 Noon on a Sunday; ZERO "tea cup" views

So views are still down and staying down. Even today, a sunday.

AND....I do not have "tea cup" in my TOP 20 Keyword results!!  Wow.

Something is wrong???

I do have more than 700 total views though. But I have more than 1,000 listings too.

Time to pack some orders.

Only 252 Views Yesterday, a Saturday

So I finished the saturday with only 252 views from Etsy search and 1 ok sale.

More than 1,600 total views.

50 Google views.

I almost went on 'vacation mode' after breaking my valuable Queen Anne gold tea cup.  Still might take a week off.  Still reconsidering keeping my shop or closing and getting a job.

Only 181 Views before 7:30pm on a Saturday

So saturday and sundays were my highest view search days for months. And for most of the past 2 years or so.

And today I still have only 181 views from Etsy search at 7:19pm. With 1,024 total views.  No sales.

"tea cup saucer" has jumped up to my number 2 keyword result. With 7 views.

I guess I just have to stick it out. And deal with whatever sales I make. Just have to take better care of  my inventory. Be better organized. Control my spending.  Tithe only.

Growth will be gradual, if any . For as long as I can stay open.

I think I should be making more.

Oh well.

Only 115 Views at 2:30pm; "Tea Cup" is Not a Top Keyword Search

Here at 2:29pm I have only 115 views from Etsy search with 711 total views.

"Tea Cup" has been my number 1 search keyword for YEARS. And when my Search views are down it is because that is not a top keyword result for me.

So today "tea cup" is NOT even in my top 10. "Antique tea cups" is number 5 so far AND it is the ONLY keyword results with "tea" or "cup" in them!

My number 1 keyword so far today is "saucer England" with 10 views. The next is "porcelain" with 2.

That is not good.

Only 87 Views Right before 12 Noon

So views have rebounded today, a saturday, but are lower than where they were the first 7 weeks of the year and last 3 months of last year.

Here at 11:57 I have 87 views from Etsy search and more than 600 total views.  No sales.

WOW. The lowest/worse search view day in 6 months!!

I finished the friday with 185 views from Etsy search, only 1,280 total views and 2 sales.  I had to cancel another sale of 2 tea cups.

Only 32 Google views AND it was 6th on my list of traffic sources! It used to be number 2! That's still disappointing.

I have orders to find, pack & ship. Not sure if I will find them all today.

Wow. This is the worst search view day in 6 months!

I just reached 100 views from Etsy search at 5:27pm.

I wonder what the heck Etsy has done???

Wow. This is easily the lowest search view day since at least september.

The big tea cup order yesterday makes all these lost views not as painful.

So, it is still disappointing that I finished yesterday, a thursday, with only 237 views from Etsy search. Also had only 1,404 total views.

Google views were decent with 64. I have not reached more than 72 in MONTHS.

But...I got a big tea cup order from a previous customer. Now I just have to get everything there safely. On my own.

And it was a good day for sales overall, too. With 3 other orders.

So it was a very good day for sales and purchases. But not for packing & shipping.

Have to get caught up tomorrow. Try to anyway.

So today is another low view/below average view day.  Only 171 views from Etsy search here at 7pm, with more than 800 total views.

2 orders for ok revenue.

It was an ok day so far. Still have to find, pack and ship a number of orders.

Well, it is disappointing that views have dropped so much. And are staying down. This could be permanent. The New Normal.

It is disappointing to put even more time every day, and have more items, and get fewer views.

Oh well. That is "progress". That is Etsy's growth and "changes" and "improvements".

Only 200 Views Yesterday!

Wow. I have had a day much below 200 views from Etsy search some time around Christmas, but today is my lowest day since at least sept!

I finished the wed with only 200 views from Etsy search and only 1,300+ total views.

I did have 2 sales for ok revenue.  And revenue for the month is ahead of march 2014's pace.

It was disappointing to have such low views. The couple of sales, and the sales I have to find, pack and ship eased the pain and disappointment some.

Only 240 Views Yesterday, but a Good Day of Sales

So it is disappointing that I finished yesterday, a tuesday, with only 240 views from Etsy search.  And total views were only 1,480.

But it was a good day of sales with 6 orders for a decent amount of revenue. Most of the revenue came from an order of 2 expensive tea cups.

Only 42 Google views.

I have a good amount of orders to pack & ship tomorrow.

So this is good to see. But it really doesn't mean anything. I will have to see how my views are at 7-9am.

MISTAKE: I Do Have MORE Views from "Other"

I made a mistaken in comparing my views for march to last march.

When I had the 2 windows open I mistakenly read 2014 views as 2015's views.

For march of 2015 I have more than 1,000 MORE views from "Other", not 1,000 less, than last year.

BUT...I still have lost 2,000 views from Etsy search for only the 22 days of march compared to last year.

It is encouraging and good to see that views are up closer to where they were.

306 Views Yesterday!!!

Wow. Yesterday I reached 300 views from Etsy search for the first time in WEEKS. Probably 3 weeks or so.

And I finished the sunday with 306 views from etsy search, 1.733 total views, but only 1 cheap sale.

And 62 Google views. But still lower "Other" views.

I am sure the search views are temporary. And the other views will probably stay down.  And only the 1 cheap sale.

With revenue down almost 20% for the year.

Etsy has caused me to Lose Indirect Google Views also???

So now I checked my stats for the first 16 days of february for this year, which is before the category changes were implemented on the 17th and compared them to the same time period of 2014 and the results were very surprising.

For feb 1-16, 2015 I have 1,300 MORE "Other" views compared to 2014.

But here for march 1-21, 2015 I have nearly 1,000 FEWER "Other" views compared to 2014!!

Etsy has hurt my shop somehow!!  

Almost 1,000 FEWER Indirect Google Views???

I happened to see on the thread about the new category change on the Etsy forums a seller mention that even Google views were affected.

So in checking my stats for the first 21 days of march and comparing them to the same time period for last march of 2014 I see that I have nearly 1,000 FEWER "Other" views!  Which are indirect Google views????

289 Views Yesterday, a Saturday

Well, for a saturday, views were only ok compared to how they were the first 1 1/2 months of the year.

I finished with 289 views from Etsy search, more than 1,600 total views and 4 orders for ok revenue.

Only 42 Google views. 136 "Other" views.

I have not had more than 300 views from Etsy search in about a month. I had even stopped keeping track of them because I thought they were going to stay consistent. And I was over 300 most days.

My shop is on a downward trend and is hurt by the category change and search change.

The near term and rest of the year is not looking good for my shop.

It will be a big step back, I am guessing.

272 Views Yesterday

So I did ok yesterday. I finished with 272 views from Etsy search. Even though I had been over 300 for so many days and haven't reached it in I don't know how many weeks. Maybe 3 or more.

Only 2 orders for a small amount of revenue. Disappointing. After 9 years of selling to make so little revenue.

I have decisions to make.

But I think I am stuck having to sell. I have way too much invested in it. Have spent too much money and have so much stuff to quit.  Just do less? Labor more? Stop buying. Sell what I can then close?

I have had a lot of "successes". But they have not meant or done anything. Especially after 9 years.

Here at 4:52am I have 32 views from Etsy search!

That means in the past nearly 3 hours (2 hrs 52 mins) I have gotten an additional 4 FOUR views from Etsy search.

And in the past nearly 4 hours I have gotten 7 SEVEN views from Etsy search.

Revenue is down more than 18% for the year so far.

Wow.  Here it is at 6:48pm on march 18th and I have 1,968 FEWER Views from from Etsy search for this month compared to the first 18 days of march 2014!!  Wow.

That is bad.

That does not bode well for the coming weeks, months, summer and rest of this year.

So views from Etsy search slowed down in the 2 o'clock hour. Thanks to the first 2 hours of the day I am on a good pace, I have a good total.  I am looking forward to the day.

.....I am having a high view after midngith because "tea cup" is my most viewed keyword search!

When "tea cup" is my number 1 search keywords, then my views are high. When it is not no 1, then views are low.

31 views in only the first 2 hours of the day is a high view time. I am above the good average of 10 etsy search views/hour average.

Just gotta wait and see how views are when I wake up. I suspect this will slow down in the next hour or two and I will be at less than 10 search views/hour average by 7-8am.

This is a high amount for me to receive, 27 views from Etsy search. Especially for the past 2-3 weeks.

To average 10 Etsy search views/hour is good overnight. It usually last til about 3-4am. I am ahead of that pace for now.

I will just have to wait until I wake up to see how my Etsy search views actually do.

I can usually tell in the midnight hour how my views for the day will be. Whether they will be high or low.

My recent high in the midnight hour was 16.
Well, here at 1:07am I have 19.  That is a good sign. At least compared to how my search views have been.

Comparing 26 Days Before & After Category Changes

So with my views from Etsy search being down more than 1,500 for the month of march compared to last year I decided to check my stats for the time since the new categories were instituted on feb 17 with the same amount of days before, which is 26.

My thinking is that with my items not being in categories I'd be missing out on search views.  Because people would search, and then sort, and my items would not be showing since they are not in the categories.

The stats are pretty close.

But with 800 fewer views from Etsy search and 7 fewer orders. But only $300 less revenue.

But, that does not tell the full/real store since my stats are so much lower compared to the same time last year.

So I finished with almost 300 views from Etsy search yesterday, a sunday. That is still not where views were the first 2 months of the year. I was over 300 most days since november. And I haven't been over 300 in at least 2 weeks.

I also had more than 1,700 total views.

3 sales for a small amount of revenue.  That bugs me.

54 views from Google. That was good to see.

So revenue is still down almost 19% for the year. Not good.

On 7 fewer orders. Not sure how many fewer sales.

Revenue for the month of march is slightly ahead of last march.

So it is disappointing to have reached only 279 views from Etsy search yesterday. It was a saturday. It has been at least 2 weeks since i've had 300 views from Etsy search.

Yesterday I also have 1,670 total views.

BUT only 1 tiny sale. A pendant necklace. Not good.

I should take today off.

I tried to take yesterday off, but I did pack and ship a few orders. And organized a little.

I really should not waste my day and I should take the day off from my shop. And not waste it on my shop.

So views are staying down. I am guessing they are gone.

I finished yesterday, a friday, with only 250 views from Etsy search and 1,399 total views.  2 sales.

Only 45 from Google. And 132 "Other" views.

Well, the good times are gone. Until november/december. Don't spend so much time each day on my shop and on the computer.  Tithe only. Don't buy any more. Don't spend any more on my shop.

Nearly 3,500 Fewer Search Views for the First 2 1/2 Months of the Year

So I compared the beginning of this year to the beginning of last year and saw that I have 3,389 FEWER views from Etsy search as of march 13th of this year compared to the same time last year.

9 Fewer orders.

About 80 more Google views.

And revenue is down more than 13%. That is better than what it was. It was as high as 36% less.

I would expect that search views would drop some because of the increased competition on Etsy, but to lose more than 3,000 in only 2 1/2 months, and with more than 1,300 them in only the first 13 days of this month, that is not good at all. It is discouraging.

With the Sloooowww summer months to come......

Wow. I just checked my Shop Dashboard and in the past 7 days I have more than 1,700 FEWER total views compared to the same time period last year. Wow.

A part of that is all the lost search views.

6 Fewer orders for the same time period too. And even 182 fewer favorites.

With many more listings.

Etsy search views are down more than 1,300 for the month too.

My shop is on a downward trend.

Spend less time on my shop each day.  No buying any thing for the near future. I have enough. Don't list new things.

Views at noon were the highest they've been in a while, but ended with only the 278.

The year just keeps getting "worse". Etsy search views, orders and revenue are on a downward trend. And significantly lower than last year.

And I've spent so much of my profits on more tea cups. Which I don't sell. Since I scared off the resellers.

So views have come back some. To a more respectable level. Although I still have to add items to the new categories.

Higher Views This Morning; It was a Search Issue?

So here right before 9:30 am I already have 75 views from Etsy search.  That is about back to where it was in the beginning of february.

When I contacted support about my big drop in views one of the things she mentioned was a forum thread about a search issue and the new categories:

And on the later pages of the thread some shops had said that their views had come back to normal.

So mine have??

75 views from Etsy search is much better than the 64 I had at 12 noon yesterday.

242 Views Yesterday

So for monday I finished with 242 views from Etsy search.  That is probably about where I would have finished sunday except for daylight savings time.

Only 2 views from "tea cup". TWO!

Only 1 sale yesterday. A teapot.

More than 1,500 total views.

43 from Google.

Time for bed.

Time to get caught up. Then take a day off.

100 Views before 4pm!

Wow. It is 3:52pm and I have 100 views from Etsy search.

For months I had been reaching 100 by at least 12 noon.

1 sale today.

I guess I just have to deal with it. With the lost views. And the changes to categories.

69 Views right before 12:30pm!

So in the past 1 1/2 hours I have gotten 5 views from Etsy search.  Not good.

This is looking bad.

ZERO Views from "Tea cup" this Morning

THAT is the problem.  I am not getting any views for those search words, my highest view search words every day for YEARS.

Something happened.

My highest view search words this morning are "antique tea cups".
Yesterday it was "bone china tea cups".

This is not good. AT ALL.

Wow.  Only 64 views from Etsy search at 11:10am.

1,000 FEWER Views from Search for the First 8 Days of March!

WOW. That is bad.

I have lost SO MANY views from Etsy search for some reason!

Because of my spy?? Or Etsy?? The New categories???

The near future does not look good. This year does not look good at all, if this keeps up.

Only 226 Views Yesterday a SUNDAY!

Wow. That is disappointing.

I finished the SUNDAY, my highest view day of the week, with only 226 views from Etsy search.

Something has definitely happened!

My top keywords were "bone china tea cup". NOT "teacup, which has been my highest searched keyword for YEARS.

Whenever my views drop it is because I am not getting views from 'tea cup'

Wow. Very disappointing.

Today has been my highest view day for months.

And today is continuing a bad trend of lost Etsy search views.

Something happened. Either by my copycat or by Etsy.

It could be the new categories are very bad for my shop. For tea cups. They are now hidden??

Get caught up. Then take a day off from my shop. It will be nice weather this week,too.

Only 162 Views before 7pm

This is very disappointing.  Something has happened.

Only 162 views from Etsy search at 6:51pm. For the first 2 months of the year, and for months now, I'd reach at least 200 by 7pm.

Today is going to be another day around 200 total views from Etsy search.

My top search words 'tea cup' has changed. I am not getting views from it.

Well, I see that I had over 2,100 views from Etsy search for the first 7 days of february, too.

So I still believe it is the new categories.

800 FEWER Views from Search in 7 Days This Month Compared to Last Year!

WOW.

Last year for the first 7 days of march I had 2,505 views from Etsy search.

This year in the first 7 days I have 1,724!

Wow.  That's bad.

AND it is only march. For the past 3 years I have a big drop in views after march. With the slow summer months to come.

That is not good at all.

I believe it is the new categories. Which started in the end of february.

My tea cups are hidden now???.

Wow. Only 220 views from Etsy search. AND it was a SATURDAY. On of my highest days of the week.
The weekends are the highest view days.

AND on march 7th of 2014 I had 352 views from Etsy search!

I believe the new categories have hurt my shop. My tea cups are hidden now???

Only 63 Views Right before 12 Noon!

I was reaching at least 100 by noon for the first 2 months of the year.

But it is disappointing to have only 63 views from Etsy search here at 11:50am. AND it's a saturday. Usually one of my highest view days of the week.

It will be another day around 200 views from Etsy search.

Did make a sale of 2 brooches.

This year is not looking good. The slow months still to come.

Only 214 Views Yesterday!

Wow. Yesterday was one of the lowest days of views from Etsy search since at least sept or oct.

Disappointing.

And only 1 tiny sale. That was the only one in the past 2 days.

Oh well.

BIG Drop in Etsy Search Views This Month & Year

Wow. I saw that for the first 4 days of march I had 500 FEWER views from Etsy search compared to last year at the same time.

And for the year it is more than 3,000...... Wow. Disappointing.

I have decisions to make.

244 Views Yesterday & No Sales

Just more than 1,600 total views and only 244 views from Etsy search.

LOW Views before 1:30am!

Wow. Here at 1:27 am I have only 6 SIX views from Etsy search! For the first 2 months of the year I'd have 15-20 just in the midnight hour.

So this will be another day of views below 300. Probably less than 250.

Disappointing. And a little discouraging as I look ahead.  With the slow summer months still to come.

Wow. 500 FEWER Search views in only 4 Days!

Wow. I noticed my views from Etsy search have been lower than the normal for this year, but after checking my stats for the first 4 days of march I have more than 500 FEWER views from Etsy search than last year. Wow.  That's disappointing.

BUT...I do have more orders and more revenue.

Hhhhmmmm.......

Only 245 Views Yesterday

It is a little disappointing to have finished yesterday, a wed, with only 245 views from Etsy search.

But I also had nearly 1,600 total views.

AND....3 orders for a good amount of revenue.

It was an active day for my shop and for me.

March is off to a very good start, order and revenue-wise.

228 Views Yesterday

So I finished yesterday with one of the lowest view days in a while. Only 228 views from Etsy search and 1,391 total views.

48 views from Google.

I did end the day with a nice tea cup sale to a repeat customer.

Now I have a lot of finding, packing & shipping to do today. And in the rain, snow and cold, too.
I have a feeling it will be a cold, rainy spring.

Time for a late breakfast of fruit and then get to work.

Lowest VIews Since AUG or SEPT???

I have not been recording my Etsy search views for more than a week.  I have noticed that I've been in the 270's to 300's.

And now today, here right before 9pm I have ONLY 176 Views from Etsy search! WOW.

I have been reaching 200 by at least 7 pm for a long period of time now.

Today will probably be the fewest since aug, sept or oct. Wow.

Early to bed today.
