326 Views Yesterday!

It was a fairly productive day yesterday.

I finished with 326 views from Etsy search and 51 from Google.  More than 1,200 total views.

I didn't expect to reach 300 when I saw my only 94 views at 12 noon.  But I made it.  Thanks to renewing my faux fur coat which got alot of search views after it was renewed....AND...right after 12 noon I got about 80 views from Etsy search in about a 3 hour period.

4 orders for a decent amount of revenue.

I got just about all of my orders packed & shipped, except for 1.  I was happy about that.

I did donate the extra 10% which I should NOT have.  That stops NOW. For good.

I will be putting much less time into my Etsy shop and trying my hand at Ebay.

I will let my listing expire. Not add new items. Pay the tithe ONLY. And take work when I can get it.

And last as long as I can.  Before I close up? And hit the road?  Time will tell.

Slight Drop in Views

I have 94 views from Etsy search here at 12 noon.  Less than I have been having for most of the month.

But I did make a couple good sales.  Internationals.

14 views from Google.  They are staying the same pretty much.  I had a few days in the 50's-71.  But the direct views are still 30's-50's.  

355 Views Yesterday!

Glad to have reached so many Etsy search views yesterday!  I finished with 355 and 1,275 total views.  But only 3 small sales.

I did just wake up to 3 more orders.  And probably a sale of a good tea cup. With the order of tea cups and a lamp later today?

Not all is lost, I guess. For now, anyway.

257 Views at 7pm!

I am glad to have reached 257 views from Etsy search here at 7:04pm.  Nearly 1,000 total views. 2 small sales.

Only 28 from Google.

392 Views Yesterday! Nearly 1,500 Total Views! For only 2 small sales

Wow. Very glad to have reached 392 views from Etsy search yesterday!  With 1,473 Total views!
And 57 direct Google Views.

But only 2 small sales.

All those extra views for only $58 of revenue. Wow.

This is my lowest revenue month of the year AND october was my lowest revenue month last year.  So that is what I have to look forward to.

More than, 1800 MORE search views this sept than last sept for NOTHING.

More than 300 Views after 9pm; Only 2 Small Sales

So I already have 307 views from Etsy search at 9:10pm, but have made only 2 small sales.

Wow.  I have 1,800 MORE Etsy search views for the first 27 days of this month than in june, but I had 12 MORE orders and nearly $1,700 MORE revenue in JUNE!

June was RECORD LOW Etsy search views.  But I was making steady sales.

Just gotta wait it out.  Maybe close up.

64 Views at 3am!!

Wow. This is the highest search view day at 3am that I can remember.  One of the highest for sure.

I should easily reach 300 views today.  My highest this month is 371.

27 Views in the Midnight Hour!!

Wow. Easily one of the highest midnight hours of the YEAR  It should be another day of 300 views from Etsy search.

Nearly 1,000 MORE views from Etsy search this sept compared to last year and LOWER revenue.  About the same number of orders.

All the search views have meant nothing.

2011 Level Revenue!!

Holy Heck!!!  I have to cancel the necklace sale.  So that means for the past 8 days I have grossed about $140 in sales!!!  HOLY HECK.  The lowest since 2011-12!!!

Wow.  I can't believe it.  I guess I should believe it.

296 Views Yesterday; 1 Small Sale

So I am glad I was near 300 views yesterday as I finished with 296 from Etsy search and more than 1,200 total views.

Only 1 sale though.  A book. Bad.

174 Views at 7pm

I have 174 views from Etsy search at 7pm.

So today is one of the lowest this month, but not bad, I guess.  Not bad at all compared to the summer.

Not as good as it has been though.

I will still end with more than 200.  I guess that's a good thing.

290 Views Yesterday; LOW Google Views

So I finished with 290 views from Etsy search yesterday with 1,120 total views.

Only 35 from GOogle!  Wow.

No sales yesterday either.

Made a $15 sale right after midnight. Big deal.

This morning only 49 views from Etsy search at 8:19am.

All those extra views mean NOTHING.  Hundreds more search views than last sept and less orders and revenue.

Oh well.

LESS Orders & Revenue for aug 1, 2014 compared to 2013!

Wow.

I just checked my stats and I have about 16 FEWER orders and $2,600 LESS revenue for aug 1, 2014 compared to the same time last year!

And last year was SLOW at this time.

Last year at this time I was on the forums complaining about my big drop in views.

And this year my search views are SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER.

Wow.  Not good.

I only paid a tithe for the orders I shipped today.  No more extra. I've given enough. And listed enough. And bought ENOUGH.

Just wait it out. Maybe close up.

Lowest Revenue in a 7 Day Period in YEARS

A guy wants to cancel his necklace purchase.  So that will make my 7 revenue to be about $150!!!  Holy heck.  I haven't been that low since 2012 or before.  I know I have been upset at some $250 7 day revenues.

Oh well.

I have enough items listed.  I've donated enough.  That's all I'm doing.  

Low Google Views Today

Boy, after having 71 views from Google a few weeks ago I thought I was going to start seeing an increase in Google views.  But they dropped back down into the 30's and 40's.

And now today at 5:20pm I have only 19 views from Google. Wow.  Disappointing.  But it's been like this for nearly a year now.

The spring of last year I was having 25-47 by 12 noon.

Oh well. Do what I can do to improve them, I guess.  Otherwise, just accept change.  Especially with the internet and e-commerce.

333 Views Yesterday; 1 Small Sale

I am glad to have made it to 333 views from Etsy search yesterday.  And more than 1,200 total views.
That made 4 consecutive days with more than 300 views from Etsy search.  I so easily have more search views than last sept.

It was last aug and sept that I was posting on the forums, and created my own thread, about my drop in search views.  And they recovered some in oct and were lower last nov-dec than the previous year.

And now to have so many days with more than 300, and so suddenly, makes me think it is/was something Etsy did.

Only 1 small sale. A pot. Late at night.

Only 48 from Google.

The advice I've seen on the forms to help with Google views by renewing the oldest listings each day does NOT work.  Not for me.  I was renewing my oldest listings anyway, because they were about to expire.  And my views have actually been going DOWN.  From the 71 I had a few weeks ago.  Into the 30's and 40's.

Oh well.

No working on my shop today. Other than to pack & ship orders.

128 Views at Noon

Glad to see I have reached 128 views from Etsy search at noon.  But again, all these are not leading to sales.

So I have spent about 2 hours taking pics today.  That is enough time.  I have orders to pack and ship too.  So I won't be spending all day on my shop and sitting at the computer.

Revenue is on a downward trend.  Back to 2012 levels.  Because of cutting off the resellers? And having sold my best things and not replaced them.

Time to try ebay.

Decling Revenue; More than 1,200 Listings; I sold a necklace Yesterday

So with more than 1,200 listings, and nearly 4 years put into this shop, all I really sold yesterday was a necklace.  One that I've had listed in my shop for YEARS.

I guess it is time to stop adding new items to my vintage Etsy shop and try Ebay.

My prices are too high  Probably.  That's probably contributing to it.

Time to stop hitting my head against the Etsy brick wall.

I have so much time and effort and money invested in it, but it is best to stop working so much on it for so little return.

It makes me mad.

I just looked at my shop stats for revenue for the year and since may my revenue is on a sharp angle DOWNWARD. Each month has been lower than the previous month.

Wow. Not good.  After nearly 4 YEARS of every day effort. And TENS Of THousands donated. Wow.

The same with orders. Til this month.  Orders since may were less each month.  I am still at 3 less orders than last month, but still a few days to go.

It makes me mad.

320 Views Yesterday; 2 sales

So I am glad to have made it to 320 views from Etsy search yesterday.  But only 1,096 total views.

So with all the extra search views, they are not leading to sales.  AND people are not browsing my shop.

So it is time to scale back on working on that shop and try ebay.

All I was really selling the past 2 years was tea cups and selling them internationally to people who I found out were resellers.

Since I cut them off, revenue and sales have dropped noticeably.

So it is time to try ebay.

312 Views Yesterday, a Monday; No Sales

Glad to have finished yesterday with 312 views from Etsy search.  Less than 1,00 total views though. Only 998.  So all the extra search views did not translate into browsing my shop.

Only 51 from Google. With 102 "Other" views.

And, of course, no sales. Wow. My stats will show it was 1 day since my last sale.  But that sale was after midnight that day.  So now it is 2 days since my last sale, a dinner plate. Big deal. And the day before I had the 2 small sales in which I had to discount my prices by 50% on each item.

I have been listing new items since yesterday evening. I probably shouldn't. But it is something to do, too.

I have choices to make. I have spent almost all my remaining available cash.

Hope I don't have to refund anyone.

Time to Close My Vintage Etsy Shop?

If sales are this bad, and all I was selling was tea cups, and cutting off the resellers has hurt me significantly, then it may be time to close up.

If sales are this bad, after nearly 4 years of having a shop, nearly 9 years of internet selling total, and tens of thousands donated, then it is serious time to consider closing up.

For now, stop adding new.  Stop renewing. Let items expire. No more buying new.

Just organize. Prepare for the fall and winter.

Maybe close up. Get a job. Leave. Start over with just a job somewhere.  Yep, it's my choice to make.

This really has not been worth it.  With the number of sales I make and my inventory, it has nto been worth it.  I have accumulated far more than I sell.

Time to consider closing up.

Comparing Sept 1-22 of 2013 to 2014

So I have 500 MORE views from Etsy search for sept 1-22 of 2014 compared to 2013. And my views from Etsy search had dropped last year starting in august and did not recover some til october.  So I was right that so many days this year of 300+ views from Etsy search was high and abnormal.

With the same number of orders, 37.

But $450 LESS revenue.

360 LESS Google views.  But 2,276 OTHER Views this year and only 82 OTHER views last sept 1-22.

112 views from Bing this year.  103 last year.

So I am NOT doing any better this year than last year.  I just had a very good spring.  And cutting off the resellers has hurt me significantly.

Time to close up?

200 Views before 6pm; No Sales

I have 204 views from Etsy search at 5:58pm.  So with 6 hours to go I may reach 300 views from Etsy search again.

All The Extra Search Views & High Total Views Mean NOTHING

WOW.  No sale so far today.  Only 1 dinner plate sale yesterday. And that was right after midnight.  So it's been more than 1 1/2 days since that dale. 2 small sales on saturday and I had to reduce my prices 50% to make them.

Not good.

Oh well. I do have choices to make.

319 Views Yesterday; 1 small sale

So I am glad to see that I finished yesterday, a sunday, with 319 views from Etsy search.  It did not look like I'd reach 300 again.  But it picked up late again.

Only 1 sale. A dinner plate.  Disappointing.  Oh well.  I have choices to make.

Without the international tea cup sales, revenue is down. I guess it was not wise to cut off the Indonesian resellers??  Oh well.

So I have 122 views from Etsy search here at 12 noon.  That's good to see. Not as high as those 6 consecutive days, but good to see.

Only 1 small sale.  Not good.

Without the international tea cup sales, my revenue is not good.  Only $116 the past 3 days.

No working on my shop today. Or tomorrow.

23 Views in the Midnight Hour!

I have 23 views from Etsy search at 1am!  Views are back??? For today??

I might reach 300 today, if it keeps it up this morning.

292 Views Yesterday, a Saturday

I finished yesterday with 292 views from Etsy search and only 2 small sales.

1,105 total views.

58 views from Pinterest.  Only 47 from Google.

For all the time I spent on my shop yesterday, it was a disappointing day. Not much revenue.  Especially for all the hours I spent doing somethign shop related.

The one sale I reduced my price nearly 50%.  The other sale I reduced it $9 for only a $10 sale.

So it was disappointing.

Low Search Views Today a Saturday

Here after 6:30pm I have only 186 views from Etsy search.  AND I owe 12 of them to my Sassoon fur coat with 12.

I am already much below last satudays search views, and without the fur coat views, I'd be even lower.

92 Views at Noon on a Saturday

I have 92 views from etsy search here at 12:05pm.  Not as good as it has been.  But it will be a 200 etsy search view day.  But not a 300 day.

I had a great string of 6 consecutive days of 300+ views from Etsy search.  I doubt I'll have another run like that this year..

No 300 Search Views Today

I can tell in the midnight hour if I am going to have a high view day.

I have only 7 here in the midnight hour right before 1am.

I had 6 consecutive days of 300 views from Etsy search and in the midnight hour I'd have as many as 15 or more.

Oh well.

No working on my shop today.  Just sleep and pack my orders to ship.  Wait to go to work on tuesday.

284 Views Yesterday; Only 2 Small Sales

So it is good to see I finished yesterday with 284 views from Etsy search and just over 1,000 total views at 1,088.

Only 44 views from Google.

And only 2 sales for $36. Wow. I guess I have decisions to make.

I sell just enough to give me something to do. Just enough to keep me going.  To tease me.

No more buying for my shop. No more adding new things.  Tithe only.

Oh well.

That broke a longe, and very unexpecte string of days with at least 300 views from Etsy search.

I finished yesterday with 288 views from Etsy search, 1,270 total views, and 5 orders.  A pretty productive day.

Only 30 views from Google. Disappointing.  After that 71 view day I thought my views from Google would be on the upswing. But they have been in the 30's and 40's lately.

I am packing a couple orders to try to get them shipped today.

300 Views Yesterday!

I made it again to 300 views from Etsy search.  I didn't think I would in the morning or evening late in the evening.  But it picked up and got a little busier the last few hours and I finished with 310 views from Etsy search.

With nearly 1,300 total views.

ZERO sales though.

Views have Slowed Down this Morning

Here at 8:08am I have 71 views from Etsy search.  Still very good compared to june-august.  But less than the 10 Etsy search vews/hour I've been getting and less than the nearly 40 search views I had before 3am.

I got a few new items listed early today and now I am going to make an early trip to the post office.  Hope the gazelle makes it.

I am still very surprised that my views have jumped to suddenly AND have stayed this high.  This 6 consecutive days of more than 300 views from Etsy search!

Noticeable Drop in Views This Morning

Here at 5:13 am I have 44 views from Etsy search.

That is a big drop from the previous 3 days.

So today will be in the 200's.

No sales either.

I have choices to make.

After spending so many hours onmy shop takign pics and lsiting and packing orders and on the computer for ZERO sales.  Not good.

I have to LESS time each day on my shop than I have been.  And consider the income per hour.

I finished yesterday with 339 views from Etsy search and 1,425 total views.

54 Google views.

But no sales.  WIth a big drop in views this morning.

All of the HUNDREDS of extra search views mean NOTHING

Because I have not made that many sales.  Not many that during august when I was only making 1 or 2 per day or making a sale every 2 or 3 days.

So I got happy about being over 300 views from Etsy search, but they have not made a difference.

Wow. I can't believe my views are staying this high.  This will be the 3rd consecutive day with more than 300 views from Etsy search.

It has been an early morning of high views with already 440 total views.

I had 142 listing views in the 1 o'clock hour.
And now already 140 listing views at only 22 minutes after 4am.

So I have 300 views from Etsy search at 9:26pm.  Glad to see that.

But only the 1 tea cup sale.  That bugs me.

Am I Better Off than I was Last Year?

So one thing I learned from the late Larry Burkett about tithing is to tithe for a year and see if you aren't better off after a year of tithing.

So am I better of than I was sept 14th of 2013??

Maybe not. Or not much better.

I have much more stuff. My income overall for the year is better. But not much.  When my income for august and for the summer was LESS than last summer and august.

And my net income is not much better than last year.  And for the year is not that great.

I am doing better than last sept.

But views and orders are lower or not much better.

So I would say I am not doing much better than last year.

And my income for the year is not going to be that great.  Especially not for 9 years of selling and all the cash I donated.

If I could quit, I would. I have alot to lose. But I am not gaining much.and don't have much of a future. Especially the near term.

So I have choices to make.  One of them should be to spend less time each day doing shop related things.

I've had some success.  But if I could quit, I would.

I was going to not work onmy shop today, but I decided to take some pics.  It was a nice, sunny morning so I decided to take pics of my new tea cups and other white items.  I think most of them turned out very good. And usable.

Time for shopping or organizing.  I should turn off the computer and not spend all day. And consider my pay-revenue/hour work on my shop.  It's already been nearly 3 hours.

Only 77 views from Etsy search at 7:45am.  Yesterday I had 102 at 8:21am.  I might be in the low 80's today at that time.

I forgot to post here my final views that day.  I had posted that I reached 300 at 10:28pm that night.

I did finish with 331 views from Etsy search that day.  The last time I had reached 300 was on may 10th.  Right after the Etsy App stat was given to us??

Here at 3:58pm I have 202 views from Etsy search!  Glad to see that!  Again, it is the earliest since MAY that I've reached 200 views from Etsy search.  Especially with the big drop in june-august.

Wow. I have 133 views from Etsy search at 12 noon!!  The highest since MAY!!  This is what I had the first 4 months of the year.  And even last summer my views stayed in the 200's with some days in the 300's.

Very glad to see that number again.  That gives me some hope for the near term and next few months with the Christmas season.  Not sure if I will be open then, but it gives me hope.

I am very surprised to see that I have 24 views from Etsy search in the midnight hour!  With the increase in views this week I was expecting to be about the same, 12-15 or so.

This is the most since at least may. And maybe one of the highest all year.

I am glad to have finished yesterday with 268 views from Etsy search.  1,153 total views, too.

Only 34 views from Google.  That's disappointing.  I thought I would keep having steady high views since I got the 77 views that day recently.

That also proves wrong the theory that some sellers on Etsy have had that to increase google views renew the oldest listings in your shop each day.  WRONG. I renew alot anyway.  And it doesn't help me with google.

Google was my 4th highest traffic source, too.  It was the 2nd for the longest time. Now Pinterest and Etsy App are gaining me more views.

So I had 70 Etsy App views at 7 am.  And now here at nearly 9pm I have only 76??????

Something is not right.

95 Views at Noon; High Total Views

So I have 95 views from Etsy search at 12:04pm.  Glad to reach that, I guess. A little higher than the New Normal.

I have 535 total views.  Thanks to an hour of 144 listing views.

AND....tea cup key words are back in the top 10 of searched words.  With 'tea cup' at number 3.
That search was my most searched every day for MONTHS.  And then it dropped out of the top 10????

I have orders to pack! It's been a good week of sales.

BIG Jump in Etsy App Views!

So the past 3 days I had Etsy App views in the 20's.  Which was a big drop from my average of over 100.

Now here this morning at 9:15 am I have 70 views from Etsy App!!

I wonder what that is all about?????

269 Views Yesterday; Total Views??

So I finished with 269 views from Etsy search yesterday.  Only 31 Google views and only 26 Etsy App views.

And only 1,238 total views.

I have a big drop in Etsy App views the past 3 days, a noticeable drop in Google views, too.

I am wondering why no matter how many listings I have I never make it above my usual highs of 1,100-1,500????

I had that many total views when I had hundreds LESS listings.

So that is as many views as I will get in a day??

I thought they'd keep growing.  I guess not.  Kind of discouraging, in a way.

Here at 6:38pm I have only 16 SIXTEEN views from Google. Wow.  That's low.

Big Drop in "Etsy App" Views

I noticed yesterday when I reached 331 views from Etsy search that I had only 25 views from the Etsy App.

But I have been averaging 80-150 views from the Etsy App since we first got the state in april/may!

And today at 6:32 pm I have only 22 views from Etsy App!

Something is up???

There is a correlation wtih the drop in App views and the increase in Etsy Search views?????

Drop in Views Today

So here at 8:14am I have 63 views from Etsy search.  I think I was in the 80's or 90's yesterday at this time.

So I will make it to 200.  But not 300 today.

Should be in the 250's.

Yesterday gives me hope for the coming weeks. And for Christmas.

IT is the 1st time since MAY!!  I think it was may 10th. Around there.

I do owe it to renewing my faux fur coat.  I have 15 views from Etsy search on that.

But, "tea cup" and related terms have come back as my top key words searched.  For a while there I was noticing that it was only 1-3 of my top key words searched. And not even number 1.  That as odd.

I still wonder what the heck happened that my views dropped and I did not reach 300 views from Etsy search ALL SUMMER!

I might actually reach 300 views from Etsy search today!  And it would be the first time since the 2nd week of May!

When I used to reach it 3-5 times per week!  Until may, that is.

I already have 243 views from Etsy search here at 6:32pm.

I am watching my views intently.  And a little upset that my views have gone up with that negative review there.  An unfair review, I believe.

I am packing orders to ship them in the morning.

Wow.  I saw at 2am and 4am that views were high.  Now here at 7:39am I have 75 views from Etsy search.

I have had 100 views from Etsy search at 12 noon once this summer and 94 just recently.

What a time to have a very negative review as the most recent review showing!!

I am glad to have finished yesterday with 244 views from Etsy search.

I did not think I was going to get that many.  Especially in the morning and also at 7:30pm.

Glad I made it though.  Gives me hope for the coming days.

BUT a negative review. Ouch.  For a tea cup that was obviously broken. I missed that. Oh, man.

So I am having a drop in Etsy search views today.  Usually it has been sunday and monday were the 2 highest days for views.  But there is a drop down to 66 views from Etsy search from 96 yesterday.  With saturday having been a day above 200 views from Etsy search.

I got some pics taken.

It is a bright, beautiful, sunny, low humidity day!  Time to go out and get some sun and enjoy this before fall and winter are here!

Wow.  I didn't think I'd get that high.  That is a new record since the 2nd week of may!!

My previous high since may was 253.

At noon I only had 94.  And around 7pm I had only about 175-80.

But things picked up in the evening and I finished with 177 views from Etsy search.

Cut Back on Hours Worked on Shop & Tithe ONLY

Today by 1pm I had spent 5 more hours taking pics for a $60 sale. So for the rest of today it's best to turn off the computer.

For weeks now I have spent far too many hours on my shop with the income I have made.  Not selling much. Other than a tea cup here and there.

Stop seeding the extra cash.

With views down for 3 1/2 MONTHS+, really since april, and not coming back, then it is time to cut back on my hours.  Stop listing new.  Work more. Sleep more.

So Etsy search views are still not nearly as good as they were for the first 3 months of this year and last year, and they probably won't ever be that good again.  But today I have 94 views from Etsy search at 12 noon.  Glad to see that little uptick in search views.

1 sale.  For a Christmas ornament I hope I can find.

I finished yesterday with 210 views from Etsy search.  One of the rare times I have reached 200 on a saturday.

Also had exactly 1,000 total views.

56 Google views.  Not nearly as good as they used to be, but better than the 20's and 30's I was regularly getting before.

Only 1 order for 2 teacups.  From a regular customer. Got an offer for the new Danish lamp I listed, but it was 25% below what I just listed it for.  I didn't appreciate that, but it was still much better than I paid for it.  Still. lol.

It is a beautiful, clear sunny morning and I am taking some pics.  It feels like a waste though. I should be out in it and out with people.  Oh well.

So I have 79 views from Etsy search here at 12 noon.  The New Normal.

424 total views.

3 sales.  Which is nice to see.

The one sale is a dinner plate and I know I did not charge enough to ship it to california.  It's going to cost $12 or so. I charged $9.  Grrr. lol.

18 views from Google.  That's good to see too.

Today is a cloudy day, which I am glad about, and I will try to take some pics today. A good number of them. Maybe pack an order or two.

Low Views for my Shop and for Etsy is BUGGING ME. TIme to Move On?

So I have more than 1,100 listing and in the 6 o'clock hour I had 25 listing views!!!  What the heck!!

With the big drop in search views first in april, then more in june and then record lows in august.  With MORE listings than last year and 2012 or any other previous year!

And, yes, because of the new listing page format from last summer I probably get more total views at times, but my shop is not as easy to browse. No shop is.

But I do not get the views/hour or per day that I feel I should.  What the heck.

I am in so far now.  I'd lose alot by stopping or not continueing.

But I think I do have to make a choice.

I finished yesterday with 235 views from Etsy search.  That was a lot more than it looked like it would be.  Views picked up late.

At 6-7pm or so it was looking like I might not make 200 or make it barely.

Then around 7-8 views from search started picking up.

I also finished with 1,373 total views.  Another day of more than 1,000.

And just the 1 order for 2 items.

I did just wake up to 2 sales.  A nice brooch sale and a dinner plate...hope I charged enough shipping for it!
