Here at 12:19pm I already have 656 total views.

So people are browsing and shopping.

But search views were only 90.

Only 35 Google Views Yesterday

Google views have dropped the past few weeks.  They had been up for most of the year, higher than last year.  It was encouraging.

And even on the forums people were posting that Google was making changes in sept, but I didn't experience any negative affects.  Until know, I guess.

Disappointing that it happens right in the busiest time of the year.

Here at 7:20pm I have only 128 views from Etsy search.

Disappointing.

2 sales have made me feel better.  But they don't solve the problems with my shop.

I should close up at some point.  Not worth it.

i am stupid to keep putting so much time into mys hop for very little. And for things getting worse.

I have decisions to make.

Only 8 Search Views in the Past 3 HOURS

So Shop Localizatoin is affecting my shop signifcantly.

It is set up for the UK and Australia and I see I am not getting views overnight.  I get steady views until about 2am.

Not good.

After 2Am I had 22 views from Etsy search.  Here after 5 am I have only 30!!

Only 210 Views Yesterday and Only more than 1,100 Total Views

It was ANOTHER disappointing day.

I finished the first thursday in november with only 210 views from Etsy search.  I had 336 last year on the same day.

And only 1,167 total views.

Sad.  And mad.

I guess this is the "new normal".  Or any increase will only be temporary, for Christmas, then drop down back to this in january.

What a big drop in direct Google views.  Only 34.  When recently I was in the 80's.  And am consistently in the 50's and 60's.

Hope it is not a sign of things to come.

So I finished the monday with 314 views from Etsy search and more than 1,200 total views.  The total views are not that good actually.  I was having that many each day when I had only 400-600 listings.

And today after 9am I have only 57 views from Etsy search.  Yesterday I had 100 at this time.

Oh well.

So in the next to the last sunday of october, what should be/was the busy season, I finished with only 293 views from Etsy search.

I had 397 last october 25th.

I had more than 1,300 total views.

Overall, I'd say it was a good day fo views.  From seasrch and all traffic sources.

After 2 days of high and increasing views into the 300's I finished yesterday, a friday, with only 200 views from Etsy search.

And the day before I had 368!

So I finished the thursday with 368 views form Etsy search.  And it felt good.  It was 2 consecutive days of high search views.  Back to where they were last october.

But here today at 7:16pm I have only 145!!

Disappointing.

So here at 12:20pm I already have 175 views from Etsy search.  I jumped up 43 search views in the past 20 mins.

I finished the only 219 views from Etsy search and more than 1,200 total views.

But on the same day last year I had 379 views from Etsy search with more than 1,700 total views!!

And that was with hundreds fewer listings!!

It was good to see that after a recent drop of Google views that I still had a very high day with 86 direct Google views.

"other" views were only 104 though.

It has been a bad month.

I had only 54 right before 3am and now.....this FREAKY amount of views!!

Um, easily my new record for the fasting reaching 200 views from Etsy search.

My previous high happened just recently when I did it by 11am.  Before that it had been about 12:30pm.

Here at 4:55am I have 205 views from Etsy search with 364 total views:

Big Drop in Google & Other Views Yesterday Too!

I read on the forums that Google had been changing/tweaking their search in sept.

Not sure if that is what has affected my shop, but yesterday I had only 33 direct Google views!!  The lowest in MONTHS.

And only 56 Other VIews!!  WOW.  That is LOOWW.  The lowest ALL YEAR!  The lowest in I don't even know how long!!

The lowest Other views I've had this year was probably the 80's. Maybe the 70's.  But I've been in the low 100's almost every day this year!!  Wow.

I wonder what has happeneed???

My previous all-time fastest/earliest to reach 200 views from Etsy search was last Christmas when I did it about 12:35 or so.

This morning, views looked not very high at all at 8am.  I only had about 60 views from Etsy search.

Then I just checked right before noon and had 229!!

Here at 12 noon I have 233 views from Etsy search with 546 total views.  Zero sales though.

Something happened about 9-10am???

It is the same thing that happeend last night and on sept 16th when I had a BIG jump.

On the 16th I had only 225 views from Etsy search at about 6pm.  Then a BIG jump and I finished with 508..
I wonder how many I will end up with today??

Just a few days ago I had only 194 for the DAY.

Well, it is good for me.  Kinda.

I Should Close My Etsy Shop

For a number of reasons.

I don't sell much.
My shop is doing worse than last year.
My shop and views are partly doing worse because of Etsy changes.
My views are worse becasue of Etsy changes.
I wont' sell all this stuff I have.
I won't sell all thse books.
My house is a mess.
I'd rather hav a normal house and life.
It's getting harder to fill orders.  Because of the large inventory and trouble finding items.
Broken items lately. Means lost money and time.
I have no money.
I spend all my profits on things to resell.  Which I don't sell.
I have just been accumulating things.
I still can't afford anything.  Not a car. A vacation. A girlfriend.  Or anything important.
And I work on my shop 7 days a week all year round. I don't get a day off.  There is always something to do.

BUT.....I have all this stuff. And it is a lot of time and money.
And alot of "success", "successes".  It has been a lot of work every single day for nearly 5 years.

I should close.

At least wait until after Christmas.

So I have choices to make.

68 FEWER orders this year (Down 15%). And I don't know how many fewer sales.
Revenue is down 9%.  That is A LOT of orders. And significant revenue.

Oh well.

Work less on my shop. Take days off here at the end of the year before the holiday shopping season.

The wise thing to do would be to close up my vintage Etsy shop, Shoponsherman.  The smart thing to do would be to close up.

So yesterday, a sunday, I had the most views from Etsy search I have had since february or march!  Probably february!

I haven't had 300 views from Etsy search since then!

But yesterday I had 298 of them.

AND nearly 1,400 total views.

Google views were high too. Especially since I had 144 Other views and 64 Google views.
That is the most Other views in some time.

1 small sale though.  NOT good.

I guess I either have to just stick it out and deal with it, or close up eventually??  Maybe by sept?  Maybe just suffer with it til the spring and get a job?   Oh well.

So for the past month or longer I have been experience Etsy search views and total views near 2012 levels. And about the same as 2013 too.

As my views grew in 2013 I thought my views would keep increasing and my shop would keep growing.

But I guess with the changes on Etsy and increase competition and so many more sellers and listings on Etsy, my shop will not continue to grow views-wise.

Disappointing.  But I guess that is the reality of internet growth. I got in at the right time.  Now views will be steady/stagnate.  But not the increase when Etsy was not as popular or known.

Oh well.

Just keep tithing and deal with it.

222 Views Yesterday July 4th, Only 985 Total Views

So I finished july 4th with 222 views from Etsy search.  Which is better than I thought I'd do.  I thought it would be another day below 200.

Only 985 total views too.  That is lower than I averaged in 2012.

Only 37 Google views. And only 96 Other views.

Only 210 Etsy App views.

It was a good day fo sales with 4 orders for good revenue.

Try to get everything packed today.

Wow.  Yesterday my average Session Duration was 1:39.  On june 19,2014 the average Session Duration was 2:31!

AND the Bounce Rate went from about 70% to 77%! Wow.

For the past 7 days my the Session Duration is DOWN 20% compared to last year!

And for the month the average Session Duration is down about 40 seconds/20%!

There is nothing I can do about that!

Etsy has done that to my shop by adding other shops listings to MY LISTINGS on mobile devices!!!

The Etsy App views mostly came in the first 3-4 hours after midnight, too, for some reason.

68 Google views. Good to see.  111 "Other" views.

1 sale. For a chair.

Oh well.

I have decisions to make.

I just checked my stats and was stunned to see I have 143 views from Etsy search when I had only 163 ALL OF YESTERDAY!!

High total views, with more than 200, and 27 Etsy search views too.

Only 192 Views Yesterday! The Low Views Summer has Begun

I finished the first friday in june with only 192 views from Etsy search.  And 1,246 total views.

1 order. For a tea cup and a plate.  Fair revenue.

Only 163 views from Etsy App! After being in the 300's to more than 600 for most of may. Until the end of the month.

56 Google views.

I have orders to pack and ship tomorrow!

I am not selling much at all.  So do not spend so much time on my shop. And don't buy any more.

8 Days in the Past 19 Days with Zero Sales; Only 3 in 2014

So from may 14 to june 2nd I have had 8 days with ZERO orders.

So 8 days of the past 19 have been ZERO order days.

But for the same time period of 2014 I had only 3.

Not to mention that revenue is about 1/3rd less.

And orders are 15 FEWER.

Ouch.

I know it is the slower time of the year, but to go from 600+ Etsy App views one day just 2 weeks ago, and now have only 130 is not right.

Etsy has done SOMETHING to affect my App views!

But 68 Google views.  Good to see that.

21 FEWER Orders for Last Month, May 2015, compared to May 2014!

I had 68 orders last may, 2014, and only 47 orders this may!  Not good.

And revenue was down 29%!

This is not counting some orders I will probably have to cancel in the next day or two.

I've gotten some pics taken this morning. Only some of them turned out good.  The sun went in and the white figurines and glass, and a couple tea cups don't look white.  So those were a waste of time. Gotta wait for another sunny morning.

Only 275 Etsy App views.  After the nearly 700 day the saturday 2 weeks ago.

Last june was RECORD LOW SEARCH views.  Wondering if I will see that again???  Revenue for the month was good though.

I just checked my stats to compare last week to the same time in 2014 and all of my traffice sources were better except for a small less in Etsy Search views.

Orders and revenue where higher.

All views in Google, "Other", Etsy App and total views were higher than last year for the same week.

Good to see.

The month does not compare though.

233 VIews Yesterday, a Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend

So I finished the saturday with 233 views from Etsy search and nearly 1,300 total views.

It was a decent day of sales with 4 orders.

66 Google views.  That is good to see.

Significantly WORSE Stats for May 1-13 2015 compared to May 1-13 2014!

Wow. It has actually gotten worse.  And I believe it is all because of Etsy adding other shops listings to MY LISTINGS on the App!

My Bounce Rate has gotten 15% WORSE.
My Session Duration has gotten 35% WORSE by MORE THAN 1 FULL MINUTE!
My Pages per Sesssion has also gotten 32% WORSE!  By 1.5 pages!

EVEN Though I have 35% MORE sessions!
AND 33% more VISITORS!!

BAD!!

All because of ETSY!!

Only 203 Views Yesterday!! Only 1,129 Total views!! 2012 level views!!

WOw.  I am mad about it and discouraged that yesterday, a wed, I had only 203 views from Etsy search and only 1,129 total views.

I did have 453 Etsy App views and nearly 1,600 total views at 1,593.  That was good to see.  It appears as though some people actually browsed my shop instead of clicking out of it because of other shops listing appearing on my listings in mobile devices.

I have a lot of work to do today.

Wow. What a drop!  From in the 280's just a couple days ago to yesterday's 204 views from Etsy search!

I did have 2,053 total views. Thanks to one lady, I believe.  Who was browsing all of my tea cups and favoriting all of them.

Only 2 orders. Not much revenue.

AND, I lost a big customer. And will even have to refund some of their previous large order. AND sent them an expensive tea cup by mistake and will have to pay to have it returned to me!

Did get the Steelcase chair shipped.  And some others.

But, I am down on my shop.  Because of Etsy. They have hurt my shop by adding other shops listings to listings and making it appear as though they are mine!  And they have hurt my search views!

I list more items and get fewer views.  And have still lost hundreds of App views!

So, work less on my shop each day.  Get caught up and take days off.  Maybe vacation mode.

I was very surprised to see the 72 Google views when I checked my stats!  It has been at least a year and a half since I have reached more than 72.  I did it once some time last summer or fall.

And it has been close to 2 years or more, since the Hummingbird change, when I was more than 72!

So I had a jump in views the day before yesterday and then yesterday they went back down.

I am surprised that here on a wed I have just reached 100 views from Etsy search at 10:51am!

This is the earliest in WEEKS that I have reached 100!

I have 144 Etsy App views.  And yesterday at 11am I have 186.

One sale for a book.

Only 10 from Google.  I was in the teens by 12 noon.  Man, I remember those days of having 45+ Google views at noon before the Hummingbird change.

I am still disappointing that I was below 300 Etsy search views, but I did finish the tuesday with 269 of them.

I also had a lot of Etsy APp views again. I finished with 444 of them!  Renewing and listing new must be the key to high App views??? But march's were still low and dropped?

It was a day if high total views too with 1,771!  Happy about that!  There the days when I finished with right about 1,000 total views.  So renewing and listing new for the App views has lead to higher total views??

And from Google Analytics I see my session duration has improved to a minus 11% from a high of minus 34%.  Pages per Session also improved.

And I had 3 orders for ok revenue.

This was a very encouraging day..Getting the high App  & total views and search views being at least past the mid 200's makes me feel better.

186 Etsy App Views right before 11am

I already have 186 views from Etsy App here at 10:57am.

Because of all the renewing and listing new the past week???  Yep. I think so.

And 83 views from Etsy search.  Better than yesterday.

Only 217 Views Yesterday, but 428 Etsy App Views

It was a very active day in my shop yesterday, a monday, but with only 217 views from Etsy search.

I guess since I have been renewing so many listings and listing so many new items that my App views were high.  I am happy to have finished with 428 views from Etsy App.

And 1,667 total views. With 4 orders, including a big tea cup sale.

Only 37 views from Google.  And I had 67 views from Google Germany.

Big Drop in Views Today: Only 121 after 5pm!

Wow. This is disappointing and discouraging.

This means that my big jump yesterday does not mean views are returning.

Here at 5:07pm I have only 121 views from Etsy search.  A good tea cup sale though.

Drop In Views Today: 73 Views Right After 12 Noon

So yesterday, a sunday, I had more than 100 views from Etsy search at 12 noon.

Today I have only 73. But I still have 525 total views, too.

Only 98 Etsy App views. I think I had many more than 100 yesterday.

Only 11 Google views.  Ouch.

Time to run to the post office for the first trip of the day.

289 Views Yesterday, 384 App views and More than 1,700 Total Views

Yesterday, a sunday, was a very active day in my shop.  Almost all of my traffic sources were higher than the same day last year.  Except for Etsy App views.

I finished the sunday with 289 views from Etsy search and 384 Etsy App views and 59 Google views.

And also 1,733 Total views.

With 3 orders for less than low revenue.

It was very encouraging that I got all the views that I did.  That views have come back to a very good level.

220 Views at 7pm on a Sunday

Today is the most views from Etsy search I have had at 7pm in WEEKS!

Here on the sunday at 7:06pm I have 220 views from Etsy search, more than 1,300 total views and 266 Etsy App views.

Only 34 Google views.  But more than 90 "Other" views.

2 small sales and a canceled sale.

103 Views at 12 Noon on a Sunday and Nearly 600 Total Views

It is a bright, sunny spring sunday morning here and I have 103 views from Etsy search and 592 Total views.
With 122 Etsy App views already.  I guess listing new and renewing does significantly affect App views.

Back to taking pics and packing orders. Maybe a bike ride.

259 Views Yesterday with Nearly 1,700 total views and Higher App Views

So yesterday, a saturday, turned out to be better than I thought it would be view-wise.

I thought I'd be around 200 views from Etsy search, but finished with 259.  I also thought total views would be about `1,200, but finished with 1,673. A good amount.

I also finished with more than 300 Etsy App views at 331, but that was not nearly as many as april 25 of 2014 when I had 483!  Still a decent day and better than it was for the first two weeks of the month.

I have gotten some pics taken.  Time to take some more? Maybe a bike ride on this beautiful sunny spring morning? Pack some orders?

Only 87 Views but Nearly 700 Total views after 1pm

So I have 688 total views and a sale of a nice lefton head vase/wall pocket.  But only 87 views from Etsy search here at 1:06pm on a saturday.

Etsy App views are high again.

Higher Etsy App Views Yesterday Compared to Last Year

I had written to Etsy Support about my thousands of lost App views for march and april.  She wrote back saying that 'recency' plays a part in the App and that I had not renewed anything for the first 18 days of april.

So that played a part in me renewing and listing new and hte past 2 days Etsy App views have come back up. With yesterdays even surpassing last year for the day.

Yesterday I finished with 290 Etsy App views.
On april 24, 2014 I had only 253.

That is a very good sign.  It was encouraging.  But I think App views have dropped off today.

267 Views Yesterday and More than 1,700 Total Views; App Views Higher than 2014

It was a very active day in my shop yesterday. A very good day of views.

I finished the friday with 267 views from Etsy seasrch, still below 300 though, and 1,767 total views.

AND 289 Etsy App views.  Which was more than for the same day last year.

All of my view categories were higher than 2014.
Last year I had only 1,200+ total views, for one thing.

It was a very encouraging day.....until this morning.  When I was leaving for work yesterday morning I was on pace for about 100 or more search views at noon.  And here this morning at 11am I will have significantly LESS than 100.  And it's a saturday..

Off to work packing orders.

After such a disappointingly low view day yesterday I wake up to check my shop and see I have 30 views from Etsy search here at 3:35am.

Good to see, but it is probably just that surge I get after midnight.

I have to see what views I have at 7-8 as a true indication of views.

Wow. This is disappointing and discouraging.

Here at 8:30pm I have only 161 views from Etsy search and only 774 total views.

This is lower than 2012 and 2013!

Oh well.

Only 77 Views at Noon

So here at 12 noon I have only 77 views from Etsy search.  Only 98 Etsy App views.

I will be ending with around 200 search views and less than 200 App views.  Disappointing.

Only 12 Google views at noon too.

Only 225 Views & Only 1,107 Total Views Yesterday! LOWER Than 2012 & 2013!

Disappointing and discouraging is what I feel about that.

I finished the wed with only 225 views from Etsy search and only 1,107 total views. Wow.

I was averaging more total views than that in the beginning of 2013 for sure!

And only 173 App views.

And only 35 GOogle views. Man, that is still disappointing.

This bugs me.

After 7pm I have only 148 views from Etsy search. 777 Total views. 2 orders. One was for a pair of chairs.

And only 116 App views!  When I was in  the 300's consistenly. And even into the 400's.

So search views are staying down. And have dropped some from the previous few days.

It has taken me until 3pm to reach 100 views from Etsy search.

I loved those days when I was reaching 100 by 7,8,9am.  With 120's-150's by 12 noon.

More than 100 Fewer Etsy App Views Yesterday, but Most Stats were better than 2014

So for the week my stats from different traffice sources have been improving.

However, on april 20th 2014 I have 298 Etsy App views, and yesterday I had only 193.
Disappointing.

At least revenue for the month has improved thanks to the past 3 days.

I also had more Google views, more Other views, more Pinterest, Google Product Listing Ad views and more total views.

It also looks as though people were browsing my shop more yesterday compared to the same day last year:

That is a very good sign.

251 Views Yesterday; A Very Good Day of Sales

I had a flurry of sales yesterday and for the past 3 days. Which have eased my mind about the thousands of lost views and low sales.

I finished the tuesday with 251 views from Etsy search and nearly 1,300 total views and 6 orders for a good amount of revenue.

41 views from Google. 71 Other views.

165 FEWER Etsy App Views Yesterday

So I went ahead and renewed a bunch of listings yesterday evening.  Most had been expired.  And I listed some new items too.

It was another day of big App view losses.

For april 20, 2014 I had 397 Etsy App views.
Yesterday only 232 Etsy App views.

Disappointing.

But my Google Analytics stats looked better for yesterday.  With my session duration increasing to -17% down from the high of -36% over the past few weeks.

254 Views Yesterday

So I finished the monday with 254 views from Etsy search.  Which is more than I thought when views were so low at 3am.

Also had nearly 1,300 total views.

With 3 orders for decent revenue.

Only 42 Google views and Google was 6th on my list of traffic sources. Even behind Pinterest.

So it was looking good at noon with 96 views from Etsy search, but I have not even reached 200 by 7pm, the latest I want to do that.

I have made a good teacup order late this afternoon for a good amount of revenue. And another sale of nice glass compote with a nice first pic that has been popular.

Time to shower, have dinner and then tv.  

100 Views before 12:30

Glad to have reached 100 views from Etsy search here at 12:25.

This is one of the earliest days I've reached that many all month. And even for 6 weeks or so.

96 Views right after 12 Noon

It is good to see that I am near 100 views Etsy seasch at 12 noon. It is a little pick-me-up. Especially when around 3am I had only 15 views from Etsy search.

Time to pack orders and get them shipped.

242 Views Yesterday; Stats were Better than 2014 Except for App Views

So I finished the sunday with 242 views from Etsy search and only 1,228 total views.

And it took until right before midnight to make a sale. 1 tea cup.

And when I compared yesterdays stats to the same day last year I see that Etsy App views were 50 less, but Etsy Search views were only 2 less.

All of my other views from important sources were higher.

Even the revenue from the 1 sale was more than I made on that date too.

I checked my Google Analytics stats and stats have improved in the past week.  The Session Duration has improved from a negative 30% to negative 20%.

Well, I have orders to pack.

Then take wed off. Spend less time on my shop. And tithe only.

Zero Order Days for 19 Days of April 2014 & 2015

So I already have 9 fewer orders for april 1-19 of this year compared to 2014.

I also see that I have 6 days with zero orders for the first 19 days of 2015
compared to only 4 days of zero orders for the same time period in 2014.

Not good.

So this is the the New Normal. And what I can expect for the coming months?  Probably. Maybe even lower come june.

Here at noon I have only 89 views from Etsy search and 450 total views.

AND...only 74 Etsy App views.

2,400 FEWER Etsy App Views for First 18 Days of April

Wow. Comparing the first 18 days of April 2015 with the first 18 days of April 2015 I see that I have 2,400 FEWER Etsy App views!

THIS is where a lot of my views have gone!

Something has happened for me to lose so many thousands of Etsy App views.

So I finished the saturday with 2 sales for the day and only 238 views from Etsy search.

And with nearly 1,400 total views.

59 from Google.

92 Views at Noon on a Saturday

So, as things have been going the past 6-7 weeks, 92 views from Etsy search at 12 noon is not bad. Not as good as it was though and still disappointing.

My total views are near 500 too.

With 1 sale. A tea cup.

Saturday has been one of my highest view days for a long time.  During that time I'd have at least 70-80 views from Etsy search at 8am.

So views are half of what they have been.

No good.

It will be another day around 200 total views from Etsy search.  Disappointing.

It is very disappointing that my views have dropped and are staying down.

This could be the new normal. Thanks to the "improvements".

The New Normal: Hoping to Reach 200 Search Views Each Day

Here at 10:19pm I have only 202 views from Etsy search. But with nearly 1,300 total views.

I actually had a few high view hours.  Something I haven't had in a while.

But search views are bad.  And only 1 sale. A tea cup.

Oh well.

Deal with it.

Spend less time on my shop each day. Don't list new or renew.

And tithe only.

Wow.

I hope this is not the new normal thanks to Etsy's "improvements". Especially since they are not showing other shop's listings on my listings on mobile devices!

I finished the thursday with only 224 views from Etsy search and only 1,077 total views!  2012 level views!

And no sales, of course.

I have not added any new listings this month. Nor renewed. Not until at least april.

Revenue is Down 51% for the Month of April

I have 7 fewer orders and 51% less revenue for the first 16 days of april 2015 compared to 2014.

Disappinting.

And it is also concerning how much views are down.

I have lost thousands of Etsy views and Etsy App views in only 16 days.

Just have to deal with it.

Spend less time on my shop.  Tithe only. Spend less of my profits.

My Etsy search views are low and from my Google Analytics account I see my duration per session and page views/ session are down about 1/3!!

I finished the wed with only 195 views from Etsy search

AND I finished with only 996 Total views!!!

And "your shop" and "your listings" stats are down by 500+ total views for the first 15 days of this month compared to last year

People are clicking right out of shop thanks to the "improvements" in our listings using the Etsy App!!

3 small sales. Including a post card.

Get caught up on my orders.  Then take the weekend off.

Don't add new items and don't renew this month.

Wow. This bugs me.

I just got home and here at 4:36 I have only 117 views from Etsy search.  1 tea cup sale after midnight.

Only 667 total views.

And only 64 from Etsy App!  There were days when I'd have in the 300's from it!

Oh well.

I finished the tuesday with only 222 views from Etsy search and only 1,037 total views!!

I was close to being UNDER 1,000 total views!  I haven't been below 1.000 in MONTHS!  Since last june or july. Maybe august.

Something has happenned. Etsy has done something.

People are not browsing my shop!

In january I had 2 days of more than 2,000 total views!!!

Only 86 Views at 2:17pm!

This is discouraging and disappoiting that I have only 86 views from Etsy search here at 2:17pm.

No sale today either.

Only the $12 book sale yesterday.  It has been a slow 8 days in my shop revenue-wise. One of the slowest ever.
